SA: Psychotic man escapes Adelaide high security ward

A psychotic man who jumped through a glass window to escape an Adelaide hospital remains
at large.

The 38-year-old man, NATHANIEL SMITH, jumped through a plate glass window at a high
security ward of the Glenside psychiatric hospital yesterday.

He's the seventh patient to escape the eastern suburbs facility since August this year.

South Australian mental health director JONATHON PHILLIPS says SMITH is acutely disturbed.

SMITH is described as being of muscular build with tattoos on his upper arms and legs.

Dr PHILLIPS says he should not be approached by members of the public.

Meanwhile, state Opposition leader ROB KERIN has called for the sacking of Health Minister
LEA STEVENS over the Glenside break outs.
