Albany He was not 5 years old, but 5 and three-quarters, he insisted, and as he sat with his new $3 American flag near the reviewing stand he knew why he was there.
``Soldiers,'' Matthew Rockefeller said in the one-word answers he favored.
And he also knew why he liked parades.
``Fire engines,'' he fairly shouted.
His father, Larry Rockefeller, 47, of Delmar had brought his son to the Albany Veterans Day Parade, as had so many other parents: to give the next generation a glimpse at history and its symbols of heroism and sacrifice.
