Qld: Archbishop has a fun side
The fun side of Sydney's Catholic Archbishop-designate GEORGE PELL will be revealed
in a documentary to screen in Brisbane next week.
The documentary called Believers, by filmmaker SHONA COX, even includes footage of
the 59-year-old Archbishop of Melbourne going down a waterslide.
The 90-minute documentary records a trip by more than 1,000 youths and their bishops
to the Holy Land and Rome in August last year.
The Australian delegates first travelled to the Holy Land where they visited the major
biblical sites such as Jerusalem, Bethlehem and the Sea of Galilee.
They then joined more than two million people in Rome to celebrate World Youth Day
with Pope JOHN PAUL II - one of the largest gatherings in history.
The film will screen for free at the Palace Cinema, Centro on James, New Farm, on April
23 at 7.15pm AEST.
