Fed: Govt thanks NZ for continuing McAuley search

The federal government's praised New Zealand authorities for agreeing to continue the
search for missing Australian kayaker ANDREW MCAULEY.

Parliamentary secretary for foreign affairs GREG HUNT says representations have been
made at ministerial level for the search to continue .. even though hopes of finding the
39-year-old are dimming.

Mr HUNT's thanked the New Zealanders for their efforts.
